Play audio

This task type plays an audio file at scheduled time. This task type was named "Play sound" before version 7.0.

Audio device
Select audio device that will play the audio file specified. Leave this field blank to play audio on the default audio device.

Audio file
Select audio file to be played when scheduled time is reached. This can be an audio file in any format for which a valid and fully functional Windows codec is present on your computer.

If this task ends up with the "Cannot complete this function" error, you still can view extended error information on the "Execution log" tab of the "Task Properties" window. If Execution log shows only an error number, you can find error description by its number in the DirectShow Error and Success Codes.

Error code: Error code of starting the command
Exit code: Error code of playing audio
