Configuration of scheduled task properties
Task title
Task title. This text will appear by the task icon on the task list in Advanced Task Scheduler's main window.
Task type
Task type. Select task type. Control items in the Task information group will be updated according to your selection.
Executable file name
Executable file name, document file name or the Internet resource URL, which must be opened on its scheduled time.
Command line arguments
Command line arguments for selected executable file.
Start in this folder
The folder, which is set as the start folder for the running task. Many programs search for their auxiliary files in the start folder. To make sure that your scheduled program finds its auxiliary files, specify the correct path in this field.
Initial window state
Application's initial window state. Scheduled application's new window will be open in the state specified here (Normal, Minimized, Maximized, Normal and no active, Minimized and no active).
Message text
Message text that will appear on the popup reminder. This message can describe the event or inform of the reminder's purpose.
Sound file
When popup reminder appears, this sound will be played. If you want to be sure that you will be notified of some event, select a sound file here. Thus, you will not only see the reminder, but will also hear the reminder sound.
Hold popup reminder for 5 minutes if a full-screen application is running
When a full-screen application is running, scheduled popup reminder will be held back for 5 minutes. This option allows avoiding the reminder windows when you, for example, are playing a game or watching video in the full-screen mode.
Sound file
Select sound file to be played when scheduled time is reached.
Turn off computer
Turn off computer when scheduled time is reached.
Reboot computer
Reboot computer when scheduled time is reached.
Log off
Log off when scheduled time is reached.
Turn off monitor
Turn off monitor only when scheduled time is reached.

Close window/Kill process

Close window
Select this option when you want to select the process to be stopped by its window caption.
Kill process
Select this option when you want to select the process to be stopped by its executable file name.
Application window caption
Window caption of the application to be closed.
Process file name or full path
Executable file name of the application to be closed.
Restore minimized window before closing
This option can be helpful when the application being closed displays the dialog window prompting for saving its unsaved data. When this option is selected, the application window will be brought to foreground. When this option is not selected, only the application's button on the taskbar will blink.
Kill process without giving it chance to save data
When this option is selected, Advanced Task Scheduler will kill the process without giving it a chance to save data. If the option is not selected, Advanced Task Scheduler will send window the same message as Windows sends when user clicks the  on the window title.
Message text
Enter the text that must be displayed when at least one process has been killed. If the text is not specified, no notification messages will appear on the screen.

Establish/close Dial-up connection

Automatically establish connection
Select this option to make Advanced Task Scheduler establish dial-up connections automatically. Select the phonebook entry and enter user name and password for this entry. In the field Number of attempts, specify how many times the program should try establishing the connection in case errors occur.
Do not show status window when dialing
If the checkbox by this option is selected, the connection will be established in the background mode. Information on established connection or an error message will be displayed as tip near the clock on the taskbar.
Automatically close connection
Select this option to make Advanced Task Scheduler terminate dial-up connection. Advanced Task Scheduler can close either all active dial-up connections or just one connection, which corresponds with selected phone book entry.
Send Network message
Send message to a computer from your Local Area Network.
Send e-mail message
Send message to the specified e-mail address.
Window title
Title of a window where the keys pressings (or the text) should be sent to.
All windows whose title begins with the specified text
Send keys to all windows whose title begins with the text specified under Window title.
Keys sequence to send
A string to be sent. This string can be formatted using the rules described in the
Send keys sequence topic.
